In today's world, there seems to be a war for our attention, From people to digital devices, algorithms and information, everyone and everything is trying to reach us and keep us hooked one way or another.
While many of us understand perfectly the risks and consequences of eating unhealthy foods, we do not seem to have a similar clear picture of information consumption or relationships (personal or professional).
I've made a clear-headed decision to go on an information and connection "health diet."
This isn't about withdrawing from the world or complete digital abstinence—it's about mindful consumption and intentional relationships.
What Does a Digital Diet Look Like?
For me, it started with simple yet powerful changes:
Unsubscribing from email lists that no longer serve my growth (8 out of 10)
Unfollowing content creators whose messages stopped resonating
Stepping back from TV channels that don't align with my values (too many to count)
Reducing time on social media platforms (only if it serves my purpose)
Being selective about collaboration opportunities (value and purpose-driven only)
Why Take This Step?
The constant stream of information and pseudo-connections was drowning out my inner voice. Every notification, every "must-read" newsletter, every "unmissable" opportunity was taking me further from my core purpose.
The Results Are Transformative
Since starting this journey, I've experienced:
Deeper focus on personal development
More authentic connections
Clearer thinking
Enhanced creativity
Better alignment with my purpose
Remember: You don't have to consume everything that's served to you. Choose your digital nutrition wisely.
